Crimson Spikegrass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized, crimson or sky blue grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are delicate and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, lime spikelet.

During the early summer, it produces copious amounts of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of giant grains.

The sap causes itchiness of the skin
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
A particular bird species likes to nest in it.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
