Coppergrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small, copper grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wide stalks grow in large clumps that are robust and they overwhelm an area rapidly.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, hazel flower.
During the early summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of large grains.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
