Bronzegrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in sparse patches that are resilient and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, bronze puff.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of small grains.

It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
It is suitable for making paper
