Blueleaf Succulent

This giant leaf succulent grows up to 151 feet (46.0 meters) tall. The very thick stem is green and light brown, and is dotted with small vivid red spines. The jagged-edged, broad, flat leaves are solid sky blue or white, with turquoise edges. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in a loosely patterned way. The leaves are hardy, and easily come away when pulled.

It is very slow growing, taking 30 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are black on the underside and brown on the top, grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with 56 widely spaced narrow petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like cigarette smoke.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the orange flesh is leathery, and the gold sap is thin.
