Crimson Spire

This average-sized leaf succulent grows up to 26 feet (7.9 meters) tall. The thick stem is crimson and beige, and is covered in sharp spines. The stumpy leaves are yellow on the sides and dull purple at the center. Small amounts of them grow on thick, turquoise or green branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are delicate, and take little effort to detach.

It is quick growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are red on the underside and cream on the top grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like a newborn baby.

The leaf succulent's skin is nearly impenetrable, the yellow flesh is waxy, and the caramel sap is thin.
