Copperleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This large leaf succulent grows up to 84 feet (25.6 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is emerald, and is covered in lots of fine, silver, hair-like spines. The lumpy leaves are copper and dark brown. Copious amounts of them grow on thick, gnarled, lime green branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are sturdy, and do not detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are generally blood red; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. It has a strong scent that smells like rich perfume.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the magenta flesh is waxy, and the lime sap is thin.
