Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 61 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, straight trunk covered in silky, dark gray bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pale yellow.

The small clumps of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of giant, thin leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are either blue, or yellow with dull purple lines.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of medium-sized, purple blossoms with triangular shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a weak scent that smells like rainy days.

In mid-autumn it produces small, needle-like fruit. The rubbery turquoise skin is delicate and bitter, and the slightly crunchy yellow flesh is bitter and oily. The hazel seed is tiny and sits at the end of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
