Bloodvine

This modest-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 49 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of wide, twisting stems covered in thin, knobbly, dark green bark, and the wood inside is brown.

The branches are very short and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of tiny, slender, pointed, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are cream and blood red, resistant and covered in fine hairs.

In early summer it produces handfuls of tiny, yellow flowers with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have an overpowering scent that smells like cheese.
