Silverfruit

This big fruit tree grows up to 35 feet (10.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 35 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 68 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in delicate, smooth, silver and white bark, and inside, the light wood is white with black speckles.

The branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, fan-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally gentle blue.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, lime blossoms with circular petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like lavender.

In early winter it produces small, stiff, pointed fruit. The fuzzy olive skin is peel-able and sour, and the soft bronze flesh is sweet and juicy. The black seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with patches of undergrowth between them.
