Amberbell

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is wispy and splits into 9 branching stems at the base, and the miniature, emerald leaves are broad, flat with toothed edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Each stem splits 2 to 6 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are gold at the sides and amber at the center. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They are very delicate.

It has a soft scent that smells like citrus, and it has very little pollen, but can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
