Silverfruit

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 51 feet (15.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 45 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in delicate, ridged, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the very light wood is white.

The sparse amount of branches are very long and thin and are covered with large amounts of huge, pleated leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are cyan and blue.

In early spring, it produces many small, white blossoms with 9 umbrella-shaped shaped petals. They are hardy and have a weak scent that smells like lavender.

In early winter it produces , arrow-shaped fruit. The soft silver skin is thin and sweet, and the very soft green flesh is sweet and syrupy. The orange seed is large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
