Grass type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small, red grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The wispy stalks grow in thick clumps that are light and frail and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, gold puff.
During the mid-summer, it produces an average amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a few small grains.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It commonly grows in large patches.
