Bluevine

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 10 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 24 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, angular trunk covered in thick, smooth, dark green bark, and inside, the very dense wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with sparse amounts of small, kidney-shaped leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in brilliant green and red varieties.

In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, florescent blue blossoms with circular petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like bleach.

In early autumn it produces small, oval fruit. The sticky azure skin is thin and inedible, and the soft blue flesh is sour and very dry. The lime seeds are tiny and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
