Burgundy Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This big tree grows up to 74 meters (242.8 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 191 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, wonky trunk covered in very thick, silky, burgundy bark, and inside, the very light wood is silver.
The branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of sticky, large, sickle shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are washed-out yellow and peach.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, olive, shelled seeds.
The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
