Moss Green Succulent

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The tapering stem is moss green, and is covered in hundreds of fine, red, hair-like spines. The mushroom-shaped body is silver, and is covered in dozens of rigid grey spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 9 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are green on the underside and amber on the top grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 56 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rotten meat.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the cyan flesh is waxy, and the blood red sap is thin.

It makes excellent hedges.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It coexists peacefully with other plants.
