Emerald Crescent Moss

This lime green moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In damp forests.
It is small, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
