Caramel Vine

Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 38 feet (11.6 meters)0.

It takes 23 months for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are rough and woody.

The thick, soft leaves reach up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) in length. They are found in olive and caramel varieties, and have serrated edges.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
