Speckled Bluebell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 99 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous branched, wavy stems covered in delicate, silky, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are very short and thin that and are covered with very large amounts of large, thin, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are generally grey, resilient and soft.

In mid-spring it produces a thick sheet of small, sky blue flowers with many layers of petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like lemon.


It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
