Blue Petal
Flower type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This massive flower grows up to 15.1 feet (4.6 meters) tall. Its orange-yellow stem is wispy and straight with a curved tip, and the huge, white and black leaves are broad, flat with rounded edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.
A single giant flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 77 cm (30.3 inches) wide, with blue petals and an azure central disk. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of several tightly layered, round-tipped petals. They are hardy.
It has a soft scent that smells like pine needles, and it has lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator, but is also visited by some specific types of insect.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
