Bluebell Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This small cactus grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 6 thin stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in thousands of flexible bright blue spines. The tear-shaped body is emerald, and is covered in thousands of flexible bright blue spines.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are white on the underside and brilliant purple on the top, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a star made up of 20 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like apple.

The cactus's skin is rock-hard, the blood red flesh is slimy, and the magenta sap is thin.

It comes in 6 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
