Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In bogs, and In heathlands.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is overwhelmingly frail.
When mature, emerald V-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
