Crimson Glow

This average-sized cactus grows up to 42 feet (12.8 meters) tall. It splits partway up the body to form 5 thin stems. Each stem is lime green, and is covered in thousands of flexible orange spines. The spherical body is green, and is covered in handfuls of fine, crimson, hair-like spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 20 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with aquamarine petals and a vibrant purple central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 56 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. It has an overpowering scent that smells like honeysuckle.

The cactus's skin is thin, the azure flesh is leathery, and the cream sap is thin.
