Grayleaf

This big shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for around 25 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many long and flexible, slanted stems covered in cracked, light gray bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are very long and slender with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, circular, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of gray that gradient shifts to azure at the top, tough and crispy.

In late spring it produces dozens of medium-sized, amber blossoms with long, tapering petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

In early autumn long, tapering fruits ripen. The leathery bold orange skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy red flesh is sweet and sticky. The brown seeds are tiny and are located in the centre of the fruit.
