Blue Aril Bush

This massive shrub grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for around 40 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has several narrow, straight stems covered in ridged, pine-coloured bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches are very short and thin that and are covered with small bunches of giant, very thin, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are generally azure, durable and smooth.

It produces many tiny, brown flowers with asymmetrical petals. They are very delicate and have a scent that varies in strength that smells like rotting meat. In late spring it forms smallblue aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
