Burgundy Grass

This average-sized, burgundy grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The broad, flat stalks grow in sparse patches that are durable and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, orange tuft.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of giant grains.
