Crimsonvine

This modest-sized bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 25 feet (7.6 meters) and growing as high as 401 feet (122.2 meters).

It takes 4 years for the pink-red stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 inches (8 cm) and are smooth and rubbery.

The perforated, leathery leaves reach up to 1.4 feet (43 cm) in length. They are solid indigo or orange, with blood red edges, and have tattered edges.

During late spring, the bine produces thousands of giant deep blue flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces a modest amount of tiny berries.
