Black Moss

This black moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In rainforests, In marshes, and On rotten logs.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely robust.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
