Silver Spine Cactus

This massive cactus grows up to 161 feet (49.1 meters) tall. The thick stem is lime green, and is dotted with small silver spines.

It is slow growing, taking 16 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are green at the sides and blood red at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has no scent.

The cactus's skin is thin, the slate flesh is rubbery, and the light grey sap is thin.
