Clinging Embervine

Flower type: Annual (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This small flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its brown stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thick with a curved tip, and the tiny, emerald leaves are very thin with tattered edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 9 cm (3.5 inches) wide, with petals that are purple on the edges and amber at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 39 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has an intense scent that smells like leather, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.

It is bio-luminescent.
