Lilacvine

Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 62 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a thick, straight trunk covered in knobbly, dark brown bark, and inside, the soft wood is gray.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with sparse amounts of waxy, small, very thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are generally lilac.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, caramel seed pods.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for making strong rope
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
