Silverwood

This small tree grows up to 3 meters (9.8 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 424 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a very thick, curved trunk covered in hard, rough, light gray bark, and inside, the hard wood is white with black speckles.

The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with thick bunches of rough, huge, asymmetrical leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are found in light grey, black and azure varieties.

In late summer it forms tiny, orange seed pods.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
