Bluebell
Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This average-sized flower grows up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. Its burgundy stem is very thin and straight, and the tiny, ashy green leaves are thin with irregular edges. 25 leaves grow at the base of the stem.
A single giant flower sits at the end of the stem. The flowers are 8 cm (3.1 inches) wide, with petals that are amber at the sides and blue at the center. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 25 raised, narrow petals. They fall easily.
It has a fairly strong scent that smells like vomit, and it has very little pollen; it can cause allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator and is ignored by most insect species.
It is frequently struck by lightning.
