Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)This big, yellow-green grass grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The wide stalks grow in thin clumps that are resilient.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, bold blue tuft.
During the late autumn, it produces lots of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of medium-sized grains.
It commonly grows in large patches.
