Bluebrush

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 60 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has several knobbly, straight stems covered in rough, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of giant, slender, pointed, leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are blue and bronze, frail and fuzzy.

In mid-summer it produces a thick sheet of medium-sized, gold flowers with long, tapering petals. They detach easily and have a delicate scent that smells like misty mornings.
