This cream moss is commonly found blanketing large areas On rotten logs, and In bogs.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is extremely flexible.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release thousands of spores.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
The sap is azure.
It comes in 4 varieties, each with a different leaf colour.
