Clinging Willow

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 217 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, wonky trunk covered in ridged, brown bark, and inside, the light wood is brown.

The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small amounts of covered in fine hairs, tiny, sickle shaped leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are light brown and indigo.

In late summer it forms large, olive, shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
