Silverbell

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This enormous shrub grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall and lives for around 46 years. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many branched, straight stems covered in very thick, cracked, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is silver.

The branches trail down towards the ground with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of huge, circular, leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are solid lime with gentle purple patches, light and clammy.

In mid-summer it produces hundreds of tiny, green flowers with needle-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a soft scent that smells like varnish.

It comes in 15 varieties, each with a different petal colour.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
The sap is edible and overwhelmingly savoury.
