Magenta Puff Grass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in its stem)

This big, pink-red grass grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are resistant.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, magenta puff.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of small grains.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It can survive a very long time without water.
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
