Caramel Flower

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.7 feet (51 cm) tall. Its moss green stem is very thick and splits into several branching stems a quarter of the way up, and the small, orange-yellow leaves are flame-shaped with rounded edges. The leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

5 to 9 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with caramel petals and a yellow center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 60 curved petals. They are sturdy.

It has a weak scent that smells like vanilla, and it has very little pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
