Crimson Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its stem)

This enormous, copper grass grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The perforated stalks grow in sparse patches that are resistant and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, crimson spikelet.

During the early summer, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a handful of small grains.

It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
The leaves are extremely toxic, and very savoury.
It is often home to a particular bird species.
