Creamgrass

Grass type: Annual (Sheds its leaves in winter)

This short, lime green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thick stalks grow in large clumps that are durable and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a small, cream tuft.

During the late summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of small grains.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
The grass is salty and extremely non-toxic and while grains are savoury and extremely toxic.
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
