Copperstem Cactus

This short cactus grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 2 wide stems. Each stem is copper, and is covered in copious amounts of rigid crimson spines.

It is quick growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with red petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 25 curved petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like pot-purri.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the copper flesh is leathery, and the brown sap is thin.
