Silver Puffgrass

Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This short, silver grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The stiff, pointed stalks grow in sparse patches that are light and frail.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, light red puff.

During the late autumn, it produces lots of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of small grains.

The sap is florescent orange.
It is suitable for making paper
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
