Brown Puffgrass

This small, brown grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The fan-like stalks grow in small clumps that are flimsy and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, white puff.

During the early summer, it produces lots of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.
