Pink-Red Bouquet Lily

This average-sized flower grows up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. Its lime stem is very thin, and the large, pink-red leaves are dark yellow-green on the underside and are 8 pointed with tattered edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

Each stem splits 3 to 6 times; a single large flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with green petals and a yellow center. The flower head is shaped like a cup made up of 20 widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has a fairly strong scent that smells like honeysuckle, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
