Crimson Fan Cactus

This huge cactus grows up to 156 feet (47.5 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is yellow, and is covered in dozens of flexible crimson spines. The cuboid body is emerald, and is covered in thousands of rigid caramel spines.

It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of turquoise and black, with an olive central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised round-tipped petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like a damp log.

The cactus's skin is very thick, the brilliant red flesh is leathery, and the blood red sap is thin.
