Lime Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This large leaf succulent grows up to 103 feet (31.4 meters) tall. The very narrow, elongated stem is orange, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid lime spines. The jagged-edged, very narrow and elongated leaves are found in lime, indigo and slate varieties. Small bunches of them grow from the base like a cabbage. The leaves are strong, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are muted yellow at the sides and bronze at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 10 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like glue.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the slate flesh is slimy, and the faded red sap is thin and can kill if consumed.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
