Pinkfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 18 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, straight trunk covered in ridged, dark gray bark, and inside, the light wood is white with black speckles.

The excessive amount of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of huge, circular leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are hazel on the sides and pink at the center.

In early spring, it produces bunches of large, azure blossoms with circular petals. They detach easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like cheap aftershave.

In late summer it produces , pleated fruit. The soft red skin is delicate and spicy, and the crunchy hazel flesh is bitter and sticky. The brown seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It can absorb up to 15 times its own weight in water.
It is very rare outside of a particular area.
