Brown Twisted Vine

This small vine is a fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 19 feet (5.8 meters) and growing as high as 32 feet (9.8 meters). It prefers to grow on trees.

It takes 7 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are thick and twisted.

The very thick, rough leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are found in olive and light brown varieties, and have jagged edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of large red flowers, and during the early summer, after flowering, it produces a few tiny fruits.
