Crimson Spiral Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In moorlands, and On rotten logs.
It is average-sized, growing up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely flexible; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release thousands of spores.
